Where exactly The Quarry located?
We are located within Three Oaks Recreation Area in Crystal Lake. When you arrive, keep in mind that the entrance sign will say Three Oaks Recreation Area, not The Quarry.
Which entrance should I use?
You can enter the park from either Main Street or Route 14—both will bring you to the main entrance.
Is there a parking fee?
Yes—during the summer season, there is a $5 parking fee for non-residents before 6:30 PM.
Crystal Lake residents: Free with a valid ID
Non-residents: $5 per vehicle (before 6:30 PM)
After 6:30 PM: Free for everyone
Off-season: Free parking
Does the parking fee go to The Quarry?
No—the parking fee is collected by the City of Crystal Lake and does not go to The Quarry.
While we work closely with Three Oaks Recreation Area (which is city-owned), The Quarry is privately funded and operated on city property.
What do I do after I enter the park?
After passing through the main gate, continue driving into the park and head down the hill. You'll find The Quarry in the building on the left-hand side.
Where should I park?
We have a parking lot directly in front of The Quarry for your convenience.
During the summer, this lot can fill up quickly. If that happens, additional parking is available in the upper and lower Three Oaks parking lots within the park.
